Featured in the lens's intricate configuration are four Super ED and two ED elements which help create sharper imagery with greatly reduced chromatic aberrations. Convenience at Your Fingertips Featured on the outer lens barrel are multiple switches for controlling lens operations and focusing modes. This allows you to make quick adjustments without having to navigate through your camera menus. Sync IS Image Stabilization To reduce camera shake and ensure sharper images while handheld shooting, Sync IS provides 7 steps of correction on the wide end and 6 steps on the telephoto end. The lens alone without Sync IS has 6 steps of correction on the wide end and 5 steps on the telephoto end.
